Healthline – The Best Lupus Blogs of 2020

I was sitting at my desk the other day, waiting for my work laptop to reboot after a software update. While sitting at my desk, I checked my email on my phone and was met with a fantastic email. Healthline.com has named Flow on Lupus as one of the top Lupus blogs of 2020!

I’m always so fascinated when I receive emails like this, especially when I think about when I started this blog several years back. I never imagined that anyone would ever read it. I had written in paper journals and diaries in the past and felt that an online “journal” would be ideal. I would often write in my journals until they were full, then I’d buy a new one. But whenever I did that, I would often lose track of where I put my old journal. Keeping track of what I’ve written in the past is so important to me, as I like having the ability to look back at what I have written in the past. It helps me learn, helps me grow, and helps me visualize how far I’ve come. I value all of the posts I’ve written in the past.

Imagine my surprise to see/realize that I’m not the only person who has found value in my writing! It’s rewarding to know that being open and sharing my experiences and thoughts have helped others cope with Lupus. It’s also gratifying to have a publication like Healthline reach out to me to say that my blog is valuable to those suffering from or hoping to learn more about Lupus.
