I totally got my ultrasound results last week and forgot to blog about it.
So last week was my clinic appointment with Dr. Kim. We discussed a few things, including my fistula revision, scar revision on my stomach, blood work, and my ultrasound results.
Dr. Kim said he would get in contact with the people I would need to speak to about getting my fistula revised. I look forward to that. He also got me some names of some plastic surgeons with regards to my stomach scar. I'm happy he got me the names, but I'm not happy about the fact that it will have to be out of pocket for me. It's not like I'm asking for a nose job like seriously! Someone else SCREWED UP and now I have to pay for it (literally)!
Anyhow, my blood work also got better. My creatinine was in the 119 or so range based on the fact that I was sick with an upset stomach, vomiting, ect just a few days before doing the blood work. It had gone down to 90-something by the time I did my blood work that morning.
As for the lesions? Simple cysts are what they appear to be. Dr. Kim says that it is relatively normal for cysts to develop on a non-functioning kidney like that. I'll do a repeat ultrasound in 6 months to make sure everything is still ok.
